The Role

About You

We're looking for the first marketing leader at Shepherd. We believe the best marketers are polymaths with diverse work experiences. They use their expertise in multiple areas and historic perspective to draw connections across the business in order to unlock new levers of growth.

In this role you will work cross-functionally with our underwriting, partnerships, business development, product, and engineering teams to take ownership of Shepherd's brand, product marketing, digital marketing, and internal / external content. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic startup experiencing rapid growth across a diversified set of product offerings.

This is an in-person role from our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

Shepherd is building a better and faster way to underwrite commercial insurance for high-hazard businesses, including using novel data sources. Our products are supported by a full-stack platform purpose built to launch and support everything from submission intake to policy issuance. Shepherd leverages its technology to make quick, informed, underwriting decisions. Finally, we pair our insurance products with native software (SaaS) solutions that help improve client outcomes and differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.
