Logistics Analyst

As a Logistics Analyst, you will interface with existing and potential customers to deliver inbound ocean (FCL and LCL), air import, and truck freight rate estimates upon request. You will utilize available systems, database subscriptions, carrier service guides, email communications, and internet research to develop the most efficient route and pricing for the requested service. Your role involves negotiating rates with carriers to ensure coverage of new and existing business, delivering rate estimates to customers accurately and promptly, and assisting with onboarding new customers into the system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international bookings between shippers and consignees on behalf of our customers, ensuring compliance with SOPs and quotations.
• Engage in daily communication with overseas offices and logistics partners.
• Research pricing and transportation document discrepancies, and report findings.
• Work closely with department managers and sales personnel, playing a key role in RFQ / RFP responses.
• Oversee billing accuracy and ensure client-specific rate structures are correctly applied.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Logistics preferred, but not required. Minimum 35 years' experience in international import logistics, including ocean and air freight required. Strong communication skills, including the ability to quickly respond to requests for assistance or information. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated critical thinking skills and process orientation. Experience with logistics management systems (CargoWise experience a plus).

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at the corporate headquarters in an office environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
