Overview
Join to apply for the Chemical Engineer in Training (EIT) - Water role at Stantec . This entry-level opportunity focuses on water and wastewater process design, fieldwork, and project coordination within Stantecs Water practice.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams with technical documentation, reporting, and research
- Develop process calculations using spreadsheets and modeling tools
- Create engineering deliverables such as : - Process flow diagrams
- Heat and mass balances
- Piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Hydraulic calculations
- Process data sheets and performance specifications
- Draft reports summarizing findings and engineering recommendations
- Assist with project permitting and regulatory documentation
- Participate in site inspections, construction observations, and commissioning activities
- Attend project meetings and contribute to meeting minutes and coordination
- Ensure tasks are completed on time and within scope and budget
- Perform other duties as assigned
Capabilities and Credentials
Proficiency in process modeling software (e.g., ChemCAD, AspenTech, AutoCAD)Strong command of Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environmentValid drivers license and eligibility for Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificationBachelors or masters degree in chemical engineeringCompany Information
