We are looking for a passionate, forward thinking experienced registered nurse, with high levels of professionalism to join our team as an Associate Charge Nurse Manager, in the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit, Wellington Regional Hospital.
The MAPU is a fast-paced acute environment providing quality care for patients by streamlining the admission process, facilitating early assessments and reviews, expediting rapid and comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments and treatment planning.
As an Associate Charge Nurse Manager, you will be crucial in providing leadership by role-modelling clinical excellence and assisting with the day-to-day management of the unit. You would have an orientation to the organisation, as well as an area specific orientation, and have access to a range of professional development opportunities.
All members of the MAPU nursing team are required to be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council and maintain an annual practicing certificate. You will hold, or be working towards, a relevant post graduate qualification. Hold a current PDRP and be committed to obtaining senior level.

Our team includes senior, registered, and new graduate nurses who are supported by a large group of trained healthcare assistants.

- An experienced Registered Nurse with knowledge and skills in acute medicine and medical assessment.
- Passionate about providing high quality care and implementing quality initiatives.
- An enthusiastic team player, with proven leadership skills, and ability to motivate and work towards team cohesion.
- Hold a high value on patient centered clinical coordination and hospital flow.
