Water / Wastewater Technician / Designer

Description

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Water / Wastewater Technician / Designer to support planning and design efforts for vital water and wastewater projects across Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to help deliver high-impact infrastructure that protects public health and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and drafting of water and wastewater systems including pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities
• Prepare detailed construction drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software
• Support hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution and sewer collection systems
• Conduct site visits and field work to collect data, support construction administration, and verify existing conditions
• Perform quantity take-offs , assist in the preparation of cost estimates, and support bid documents
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, CAD technicians, and other team members to ensure design quality and compliance with project goals
• Support regulatory permitting , documentation, and technical report development
• Help maintain project records and support quality control / quality assurance efforts
• Stay current with design standards and regulatory requirements related to water and wastewater systems
