Combination Painter

The Combination Painter is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs across all painted and wall-covered surfaces throughout the property, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards. This role involves operating various tools and equipment, preparing surfaces, and applying paint and wall coverings while adhering to safety regulations and company policies to maintain overall facility integrity. The starting rate is $29.35 hourly.
The day-to-day responsibilities include :
- Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on painted and papered surfaces and systems throughout the property, responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks
- Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner; to include ability to operate conventional and / or airless spray equipment as required
- Prepare surface to be painted, paint and install wall covering, adjust paint to proper color as necessary, patch, tape and texture and acoustic as necessary
- Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Keep informed and updated on current technical methods
- Advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
- Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment
- Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention, able to wear / use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
The ideal candidate :
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required3+ years of prior relevant experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment requiredWork varied shifts, including weekends and holidays requiredTechnical school or completed apprenticeship in similar trade preferredThe perks and benefits include :
