Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Perform development activities from gathering requirements, designing solutions, and developing code. Assist during project release / deployment.
• Ability to debug complex technical issues and provide resolution.
• Ability to actively participate in agile scrum meetings and complete tasks within the sprint time frame.
• Proficient in communication skills.
• Ability to build PoCs around emerging technologies in the payments domain.
• Grooming other team members when required.

Qualifications

Technical / Behavioral Competency

• Experience working in Data Mart and Data Warehouse environments.
• Extensive experience working with Cognos BI Reporting tool, including Cognos UI, Reporting Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Drill-through reports, Framework Manager, and Cognos Workspace.
• Experience working with backend databases like Oracle and SQL Server.
• Good understanding of Dimensional modeling environment.
• Excellent requirements gathering skills and considerable design / development experience background.
• Comprehensive understanding of agile and waterfall development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with clients in daily meetings.
• Practical experience in problem-solving / troubleshooting and assisting defect fixes during deployment periods.
• Ability / flexibility to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed.

Desired Skills :

• Knowledge of other BI tools like Microstrategy and Tableau is a plus.
• Experience with financial and banking applications.
• Experience in Operational Data Store environments.
