Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically knowledgeableAccount Executiveto drive new client acquisition for our Managed IT and Cybersecurity services. This is apure outbound sales role, ideal for someone who thrives on cold outreach, values relationship building, and can confidently communicate the value of technology solutions to business leaders. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of IT services, cybersecurity, and MSP operations, and be passionate about helping organizations solve complex IT challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business opportunities throughcold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, and networking.
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers at small to mid-sized businesses to understand their IT and cybersecurity challenges.
- Deliver compelling messaging that clearly communicates the value of managed IT and security services.
- Conduct discovery calls and meetings to assess prospect needs and position appropriate solutions.
- Manage the full sales cyclefrom initial outreach to closingwhile coordinating with internal technical and onboarding teams.
- Maintain organized records of sales activities, prospecting efforts, and pipeline updates in the CRM.
- Collaborate with the marketing and business development teams to refine outreach strategies and improve conversion rates.
- Stay current on MSP trends, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory drivers impacting client industries (e.g., HIPAA, CMMC, FTC Safeguards).
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Account Executive, Sales Representative, or similar role in theMSP, VAR, or IT servicesindustry.Strong technical foundationcomfortable discussing networking, cybersecurity tools, cloud services, backup, compliance, and endpoint protection.Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions such as EDR, firewalls, MFA, data backup, and regulatory frameworks.Strong understanding of the value of managed services, recurring revenue models, and long-term technology partnerships.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics into business value.Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple deals at various stages of the sales process.Proficient with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and productivity tools like Microsoft 365.Bachelors degree in Business, Technology, or related field is preferred but not required.
