Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Microsoft Analytics position for our client in New Castle, DE.

Duration : 12 months

Duties :

Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence (BI), data warehousing, and reporting solutions using Microsoft BI tools and products.

Build and optimize dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Power BI Report Builder (Paginated), Power BI Embedded services, and SSRS.

Write complex queries using Power Query, DAX, R, and T-SQL to support analytical and reporting requirements.

Implement security features and ensure adherence to best practices in BI development.

Focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization when developing dashboards and reports.

Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.

Skills :

Expertise in Microsoft BI stack, including Power BI, Power BI Paginated Reports, Power BI Embedded, and SSRS.

Strong SQL Server programming skills.

Proficiency in writing complex queries using Power Query, DAX, R, and T-SQL.

Knowledge of BI best practices, performance optimization, and dashboard design principles.

Ability to implement security features and manage access in BI solutions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Experience :

Proven experience in developing BI and reporting solutions using Microsoft tools and technologies.

Experience in designing and implementing data models, reports, and dashboards for business users.

Hands-on experience optimizing Power BI dashboards for performance, usability, and maintainability.

Experience with security implementation in Microsoft BI environments.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
