Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracts Manager on behalf of our client in Charlotte, NC. This role supports the facilitation and execution of all contracts related to Energy as a Service (EaaS) business development. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, the Contracts Manager will play a key role in managing complex energy project and finance transactions from pre-contract negotiation through to contract close and post-closing activities.

Responsibilities
- Support full contract lifecycle for complex energy and infrastructure projects, including pre-contract review, contract closing, and post-closing tracking
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to energy, construction, and financing transactions
- Coordinate with legal, finance, engineering, and business teams to ensure all contract requirements are understood and managed
- Analyze contract terms and conditions and proactively manage contractual risk
- Track and support compliance with all contractual obligations, deliverables, and milestones
- Maintain contract documentation and manage contract database systems
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract interpretation and best practices
- Participate in process improvement and standardization efforts related to contract templates and workflows
- Ensure alignment between contract terms and project delivery goals, including energy savings targets
- Serve as a key liaison with external partners, subcontractors, and vendors during contract negotiations
- Ensure proper change management documentation and processes are followed
- Support project reporting, billing, and financial forecasting related to contract terms
- Maintain high levels of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all contract-related activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Construction , or a related field5+ years of experience managing contracts in construction, real estate, energy, or engineering industriesStrong understanding of contract law , terms and conditions, and industry-specific risksProven ability to analyze complex documents , identify potential issues, and propose resolutionsExceptional organizational and time management skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong interpersonal and communication skills—able to interface effectively with legal, finance, technical, and project teamsHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with contract management software and databases preferredDetail-oriented and capable of performing in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentCompetitive salary ($77,000 – $103,000)Benefits
