Planet Technology has partnered with a greater Indianapolis area client to locate an Endpoint Systems Engineer for a contract-to-hire position.

Please note, this is an onsite role and candidates must be willing to be in the office every day.

We are seeking a hands-on Endpoint Systems Engineer to manage and evolve our device, collaboration, and productivity ecosystem. This role will design, implement, and optimize endpoint management strategies across Microsoft and Apple platforms while supporting Office 365 and video-conferencing technologies. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with an eye for user experience, automation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of devices including enrollment, patching, compliance, and retirement.
  • Strengthen endpoint security through standardization, policy enforcement, and automation.
  • Monitor and report on device performance, compliance status, and user experience metrics.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, providing Tier 3 support and leading feature rollouts.
  • Oversee configuration, licensing, and usage for Microsoft 365 applications to ensure optimal adoption and compliance.
  • Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for endpoint and collaboration issues, partnering closely with Infrastructure and Security teams.
  • Guide and mentor Helpdesk staff, improving documentation and helping to resolve recurring issues.
  • Support and optimize video-conferencing and AV systems including Zoom, Teams Rooms, Cisco, and Neat to deliver a consistent hybrid meeting experience.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure projects that impact endpoint and collaboration performance.
  • Analyze endpoint and support data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Propose and implement automation or process enhancements to improve reliability and end-user satisfaction.
  • Deliver regular reports on device compliance, system health, and service performance to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of IT experience focused on endpoint management and end-user support.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro.
  • Strong administration skills in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Experience supporting AV and conferencing systems such as Zoom, Cisco, or Neat.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Jamf Certified Admin or Microsoft Endpoint Manager certification.
  • Experience supporting hybrid Windows / macOS environments.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management, including MFA and Conditional Access.
