Overview

As a Project Manager, you will lead all aspects of the project from planning, managing, and coordinating commercial and industrial projects. You will be accountable for the financial aspects of HVAC / MEP projects including forecasting and management of the project areas such as cost, billing, collections, vendor terms, variation orders, risk and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Defines project schedule for assigned projects and publishes monthly reports to communicate progress against targets.
• Maintain daily contact with Owners, General Manager, CFO, Project Managers, Accounting, Purchasing, and Construction Depts.
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Manage indirect reports assigned from other departments / trades during project execution.
• Support effective utilization of Change Orders and improvements to contracts.
• Communicate during the development of Variation Order requests with the Estimating Dept. and Sales team.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to LD liabilities when applicable.
• Monitor the issuance of material and subcontract purchase orders for compliance with construction and schedule requirements (including budget).
• Ensure Project Management procedures, including document control, are in place and followed.
• Serve as the primary internal contact with Management for financial and commercial aspects of the Project Portfolio and coordinate communications across functional areas.
• Foster understanding of business goals and drive action toward those goals.
• Encourage diverse views and maintain an open, positive team environment.
• Demonstrate leadership and proactively solve complex problems; contribute to team performance.
