A Typical Day :

As a Senior Tax Specialist, you will inspire clients to make informed, confident decisions regarding their finances and life choices. You will develop strong client relationships that evolve over the years.

By joining H&R Block as an experienced tax professional, you will assist clients with a variety of tax needs while supported by a team of experts. We are committed to providing you with advanced tax training necessary for your success.

What You'll Bring to the Team :

• Conduct tax interviews with clients through face-to-face meetings and virtual platforms (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and propose additional products and services.
• Assist clients with IRS inquiries.
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services.
• Circular 230 associates can offer audit representation.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
• Successfully complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax preparation.
• Expertise in individual tax returns.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Effective communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing.
• Compliance with IRS and applicable state requirements.
• A high school diploma or equivalent educational level.

Pay Range Information : The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted to inform applicants about potential earnings. Individual pay decisions will be based on job-related factors such as experience, education, skills, performance, and geographic location. Successful candidates may participate in incentive compensation plans that could contribute to additional earnings. Eligible associates can enroll in medical and prescription coverage, contribute to the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k)), access the Employee Assistance Program, and other benefits. Pay Range : $11.00 - $80.00 / Hr.
