Applications Engineer, Enterprise

Our client, a leading California-based law firm, is seeking a skilled Enterprise Applications Engineer to join its innovative IT team on a full-time basis. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise-level systems and applications to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance. This role will report to the Director of IT and Engineering and will play a hands-on role in troubleshooting complex issues, managing application deployments, and overseeing endpoint management in line with security best practices. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco and the salary range is between $135,000 - $165,000 annually plus benefits depending on education, specific software knowledge and overall experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Support and maintain enterprise applications, including business-critical software, Citrix environments, SQL, and SCCM.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues efficiently, providing clear and professional communication throughout the process.
• Manage the full lifecycle of applications — from packaging and deployment to updates and retirement — following established best practices.
• Maintain and optimize workstation and server images to ensure consistency, security, and reliability.
• Participate in monthly security updates and ensure all endpoints remain compliant with security standards. Address urgent vulnerabilities as needed.
• Proactively monitor systems and applications to detect and resolve issues before they affect end users.
• Serve as an escalation point for application related and helpdesk issues, performing root cause analysis and developing long-term solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation aligned with internal policies and change management processes.
• Provide after-hours support for system maintenance, upgrades, and critical issues when necessary.
