Arcadia Strategy Group (ASG) is seeking an Declassification Analyst / Information Review and Release Analyst to work on-site in Herndon, VA (24 hours per week) for a dynamic Intelligence Community office offering a flexible work schedule.
The position requires an individual to review and thoroughly research the substance and overall context of select documents and make the appropriate redactions-electronically and / or manually- based on the criteria of Executive Order (EO) 13526, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act (PA). The candidate must be able to successfully apply critical-thinking skills when evaluating each case, and when utilizing the broad array of customer systems and tools in order to accurately inform the review and release process.
The individual will provide the rationale for redactions using legally defined exemption codes; provide recommendations for release of the documents; and record decisions in the appropriate system. Research of previous release decisions is required to ensure accuracy and consistency in our recommendations. Analysts in this role identify Other Government Agency (OGA) equities involved in the case and ensure that they are prepared for referral or coordination.
The candidate must be able to successfully apply critical-thinking skills when evaluating each unique case, and when utilize a broad array of customer systems and tools in order to accurately inform the review and release process. Due to the complexity of most requests, time management and the ability to collaborate with other team members is a must. The selected candidate must be able to consistently deliver high-quality, accurate work, and be willing to perform ad hoc duties as needed. Candidates are able to explore their creative side for identifying process improvement ideas.

We will also consider candidates with 16 or more years of experience in a position requiring analytic skills (such as intelligence analysts, foreign disclosure officers, CD / CI / CT analysts, etc.) AND a demonstrated familiarity with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs and Executive Order (EO) 13526 directive
A Master's degree is equivalent to an additional year of experience
Must possess an active TS / / SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employment
