Job Description
Position Purpose
This role provides detailed Supply Chain finance support via analysis and insights with a focus on decisions related to our plant and storage networks.
Major / Key Accountabilities
- Provides business with analytics and insights to influence strategic and operational decision excellence and in doing so, drives improved business performance and capital allocation decisions
- Supports the implementation and adoption of standard finance tools and processes
- Identifies and explains levers of supply chain performance and strategic objective delivery
- Provides analytical support to key stakeholders and business leaders via supply chain financial analysis, business case preparation, strategic initiatives, financial process governance, and global alignment
- Partners with PNO, Operations, Planning, and Corporate stakeholders for North America to forecast and analyze costs and benefits
- Supporting the evaluation of Supply Chain initiatives from ideation to execution
- Supports decisions related to plants and storage, plus any related post investment reviews (PIR’s)
- Support the production and tracking of monthly KPI (including financial performance) for storage
- Drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities through automation, system enhancements, data quality, consolidation, and quality improvement
- Provide leadership, direction, motivation and support to business partners and analysts
- Administers delegation of financial authority approvals and supports approval audits as required
- Supports other supply chain analyses, ad hoc requests and projects as required
- Lead the planning / forecast process timely and accurately with stakeholders for storage, real estate (incl. IFRS16) and Network strategy
- Timeliness and accuracy of month-end analysis and financial forecasting / budgeting

- The quality and effectiveness of strategic and operational decision support provided to Supply Chain and the business within the market(s) under responsibility
- The ideation and financial impact of Supply Chain initiatives (including Transformation initiatives) identified to drive performance and achieve forecast / targets as measured by their outcome
- Timeliness and accuracy of month-end analysis and financial forecasting / budgeting
- The quality of insight and commentary on the financial results and performance within the market(s)
- The % standard Supply Chain tools and processes developed and adopted within the market(s)
Challenges
- Ability to work across different time zones and cultures both within Finance and across the Business
- Navigating the complexity of working and developing relationships in a matrix structure
Qualifications
Minimum : Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or in a similarly data-driven technical discipline or equivalent experience
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of analytical business partner experience, preferably in complex multinational businesses within Finance or similar roles
- Minimum 2 years of experience within CHEP US finance, with supply chain finance experience as a team leader or above preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate PowerBI skills required
- Building and preparation of scorecards, dashboards, and management reporting desirable
- Demonstrated comfort with interpreting and presenting output to executive levels of the organization
Skills and Knowledge

- Well-developed use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, especially in interpreting complex subjects for partners
- Solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts
- Excellent problem solving, business partnership, and quantitative analysis skills
- Effectiveness in managing cross functional stakeholders and competing priorities
- Understanding of CHEP business and plant cost structure strongly preferred
- Experience in financial and / or supply chain data analysis tools preferred. Examples include (but not limited to) : SAP / Business Warehouse, Business Objects / Power BI
