Overview : The Field Engineer Level II is a vital role responsible for overseeing project controls and management across multiple disciplines. This position involves supporting Craft Superintendents, collecting quantities, scheduling, managing contracts, planning projects, and reporting on progress.
This role will require collaboration with all stakeholders involved in the project, including clients, engineering / design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and strategic communication with project management regarding project status.
Location & Travel : This is a traveling position requiring up to 90% travel across various project sites in the US. You can expect to spend an average of 8-18 months at each location. We provide a designated per diem in addition to competitive base pay to help cover living expenses. Mobilization support and monthly rotations are also available.

Responsibilities :
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions.
- Provide necessary contract reports to clients on a regular basis.
- Commit to safety protocols as outlined in the Corporate Safety Plan and site-specific safety plans.
- Calculate quantities by taking measurements and assessing work completed.
- Develop and review work plans and packages.
- Support the communication of the site quality plan, ensuring timely inspections and quality documentation.
- Manage and process daily labor timesheets for client approval.
- Compile and distribute weekly Average Labor Rate updates to supervision.
- Train staff on completing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews and meetings.
- Manage material delivery scheduling and procurement reporting.
- Coordinate jobsite workgroups and schedules.
- Perform material take-offs and basic engineering calculations.
- Assist engineers with data preparation for submissions and transmittals.
- Prepare purchase orders and subcontracts as needed.
- Oversee procurement and subcontract administration from the home office.
- Support field staff and manage subcontractor operations.
- Maintain all project records and correspondence.
- Create and monitor project controls, including productivity tracking, risk logs, and schedules.
- Drive the planning process through master scheduling and manpower planning.
- Assist with accounting and job costs, ensuring accurate updates.
- Lead the budgeting process and cashflow forecasting for projects.
- Act as the company representative in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Prepare Schedules of Values and invoices for clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Support crews of up to 50 members as needed.Lead a team of 1-2 Field Engineers.Manage portions of the field office team, including engineers and coordinators.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.3-5 years of field engineering or similar experience is preferred.Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of health and safety programs.Participation in daily toolbox meetings with field crews.Ability to analyze engineering plans and specifications effectively.Strong motivation and a commitment to excellence.Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior.Strong teamwork and independent work skills.Willingness to travel and relocate for extended periods.Physical Demands :
Ability to work lengthy shifts under various environmental conditions.Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks regularly.Capacity to wear personal protective equipment as required.Able to navigate construction sites effectively.What We Offer :
