Warehouse Specialist

Primary Duties

• This position is responsible to provide effective customer service and achieve customer satisfaction by delivering services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
• Perform a variety of warehousing duties, including verifying materials against receiving documents; noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages;

routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.

• Rearrange and takes inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• Take a physical count on all material to ensure the balance is reconciled with the accounting monetary inventory.
• Document all inventory upon arrival into the Tracker and other databases when appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Inspect material received for quality and quantity ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Contact vendors and shippers to ensure that merchandise, supplies, and equipment are forwarded on specified shipping date by performing necessary duties.
• Provide assistance to conference center and training room setups.
• Perform x-ray scan using an x-ray machine for all mail and freight.
• Receive, process incoming mail and freight and deliver to lines of business.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Assemble / disassemble furniture and use hand and power tools.
• Collect all government excess property, verify documentation, and store until final disposition
• Provide logistical support for special events on / off site setting up displays, collecting donation, escorting
• Perform general Maintenance that may include but not limited to changing out bulletin boards, room signage, hanging Tvs and pictures, replace water filters, change systems furniture keys

Qualifications : Education, Experience, and Certification(s )

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required.
• Must have 2-3 years of warehouse and / or mailroom related experience.
• Per contract, valid drivers license and good motor vehicle (MVR) required.
• Knowledge of personal computer (PC) leading to proficiency in various software and / or spreadsheet operations.
• Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
