Position Summary
The Engineering Manager - is responsible for guiding and training Product and Electrical Engineers in product design, subsystem integration, and performance. This role partners closely with Product Management, Plant Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality, innovation, and timely product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of floor plans in collaboration with Product Management, ensuring manufacturability and market competitiveness.
- Oversee all product releases, including Product Change Notices (PCNs) and regulatory code submissions.
- Define engineering team roles, responsibilities, and capacity planning for each platform.
- Foster engagement and collaboration through team-building, skill assessment, and organizational design.
- Drive new product development initiatives, setting priorities, schedules, and design objectives.
- Manage electrical and motorized projects, ensuring timely execution of key deliverables.
- Implement and maintain a Product Data Management (PDM) system for file organization and control.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to maintain consistent design methodologies and processes.
- Approve vacation requests, expense reports, and other administrative responsibilities.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology required; 5+ years of related experience preferred.Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, A3, 5 Whys, etc.) preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience in the RV, automotive, or commercial vehicle industry preferred.Physical Requirements
Ability to work on the production floor approximately 60–70% of the time.Must be able to lift, push, or pull 30–60 lbs. as needed.Occasional travel required (5–10%).Flexibility to work early or extended hours as required.Core Values
