Mechanical Inspector / Reviewer

Summary :  This is a highly skilled inspection and supervisory role responsible for reviewing and approving mechanical plans (e.g., HVAC, fuel gas, refrigeration systems) to ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code, Miami-Dade County Code, and other regulations. The position involves both office-based plan review and occasional field inspections.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review mechanical plans, blueprints, and specifications for code compliance.
• Approve or reject plans; explain deficiencies and required changes to contractors, engineers, and architects.
• Inspect pressure vessels, HVAC systems, refrigeration, ventilation, and fuel gas installations.
• Conduct field inspections, joint inspections, and investigate complaints.
• Interpret codes and assist inspectors in court cases when needed.
• Prepare monthly reports and handle general office supervision.
• Serve as Acting Chief Inspector when required.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
