Telecommunications Mechanic II

Bowhead seeks to network with a Telecommunications Mechanic II for a newly awarded contract to provide Base Telecom Support at the Naval Hospital Bremerton, Bremerton, WA. The effort will provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M). This includes secure and reliable, classified and unclassified, voice and data services in support of Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Information (C4I) operations and exercises.

Responsibilities

Essential functions include :

• Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including Avaya Systems CM4.0.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of switch issues, software updates and patching, installation and configuration of switch hardware, daily operation monitoring, and support for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment).
• Utilize company vehicle to travel to remote locations weekly.
• Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD / Navy standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
