Director of Nursing (DON)

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly motivated  Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team in our Skilled Nursing Facility. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of resident care, compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment for our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide clinical leadership and direction to the nursing team.

Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (CMS, state DOH, etc.).

Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Oversee infection control, quality assurance, and risk management programs.

Manage nursing department budget, staffing, and scheduling.

Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications :

Current RN license in [State].

Minimum of 2–5 years of nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting.

Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
