    We are seeking an onsite Inside Sales Representative to support revenue growth by managing both inbound and outbound sales activity for an industrial plastics distribution operation. This role requires daily engagement with new and existing customers by phone and email to quote material, process orders, and grow accounts through consistent follow-up and relationship development.

    Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound sales inquiries from customers needing sheet, rod, tube, film or fabricated components
  • Make proactive outbound calls to develop new accounts, re-engage dormant customers, and expand current business
  • Generate quotes, negotiate pricing and lead times, and convert requests to orders
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend material solutions based on application and performance needs
  • Maintain accurate CRM and order entry records
  • Work with operations, purchasing and logistics to ensure on-time delivery and service quality
  • Build long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up
  • Meet and exceed daily activity, conversion and revenue targets
  • Qualifications

  • 3–4+ years of inside sales or outside sales experience, ideally in distribution or industrial products
  • Strong phone selling skills with ability to handle both reactive and proactive call volume
  • Experience with quoting, order entry and CRM systems
  • Ability to learn material properties and apply them to customer applications
  • Organized, process-driven and comfortable with activity metrics
  • Professional communication and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a general business or technical field is a plus
