Our Tax Team is looking to grow the team. We are looking for a fulltime permanent Tax Manager for the Garden City location. This will be an on-site role with full benefits and paid time off. Responsibilities : Review complex Federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, non-profit organizations, and pass-through entities Review gift tax returns Review quarterly and year-end tax projections Review tax workpapers Deliver clear requests for information via phone or email directly to clients Research Federal, state, and cross-border tax issues Strategize with partners and the client engagement teams on tax planning Work closely with the management team to mentor, train, and supervise staff Job Requirement Basic qualifications : Minimum degree required : Bachelor’s degree CPA Required field of study : Accounting, Finance and / or Taxation Minimum years of experience : 7+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Strong verbal and written communication skills Client Management Skills : Manage deadlines and client work Bill clients accordingly Collect outstanding receivables Preferred knowledge / skills : Partnership tax experience, preferably in Private Equity / Investment Partnership industry; other experience will be considered Familiarity with special allocations and partnership agreements Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Managerial experience with staff and clients
