QA / QC Lab Technician

Job Description

Mission :

Employee is responsible for following all QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Env.) policies and procedures which includes, but is not limited to : Attend scheduled safety training, follow housekeeping requirements, place waste in designated containers, clean up spills; follow operating procedures, and immediately report any injuries or incidents to the supervisor.

Position Purpose :

To provide analytical support and technical assistance for all quality aspects for products formulated and packaged at the Pasadena Site.

Main Accountabilities :

Major tasks and responsibilities of position

• Conduct day to day sample releases in the laboratory.
• Provide timely and accurate analytical support to internal customers.
• Implement chemical analytical methods and procedures to ensure conformance to corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of lab equipment and plant as required
• Communicate analytical information to managers and production personnel
• Monitor use and inventory of laboratory chemicals and supplies
• Schedule and expedite needs from Production, Production Planning, Distribution, and HESS
• Maintain and audit laboratory documentation as needed
• Enter data into SAP system

Shift Hours :  7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm

Days : Monday through Friday (may be asked to work on weekend as needed)

Lunch : Half an Hour

Must also be flexible when the PM shift Lab Tech takes vacation to cover that shift : 3 : 30 pm to 11 : 45 pm
