Senior Commodity Manager, Indirect Procurement

Our team is looking for a Senior Commodity Manager, Indirect Procurement to join them. You will report to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain and will have a hybrid work structure in Creedmoor, NC. Travel required : approximately 20% domestic; international or additional travel may vary dependent on activities assigned and lead by team.
To be considered for the Senior Commodity Manager, Indirect Procurement opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you :
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, Operations or related fields
- 7+ years of working experience in related field(s) above; indirect sourcing experience preferred
- 3+ years of management / leadership experience in developing team members
- Proficient use in tools such as : SAP (or similar ERP), Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI), Project Management (Smartsheet), Supplier portal and procurement solutions (GEP, Ariba)
- Excellent negotiation, problem solving and communication
- Understanding and demonstration of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Strong project management skills enabling effective balance of transactional and strategic activities required to run the business
- Ability to influence results in cross functional team settings
As a Senior Commodity Manager, Indirect Procurement, you will :
Be accountable for managing critical supplier agreements, strategic sourcing, monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance, developing the supplier base, and conducting research to support the commodity strategyLead all strategic sourcing initiatives for the assigned commodities, and act as a change agent, focusing on delivering the highest value to internal and external customers at the lowest costEstablish the vision of the commodity through development of strategies and execution of action plans for a diversified supply baseChampion development, installation and utilization of processes and data analytics to set and optimize strategies for sustained sourcing performanceWork closely with cross-functional team members in areas such as quality, engineering, marketing, operations, facilities, human resources, information technology and finance to proactively ensure alignment and execution planning to achieve business goalsDeliver cost savings via opportunity identification in value management, market bidding, outlier analysis, supplier competition, supplier development and improvementsKeep current with shifts in laws and regulatory compliance, both company and governmental, to protect the company's assets in an always changing marketBuild effective cross-functional and supplier relationships that are needed to bring in products and services that consistently meet or exceed Ontics expectations and supplier performance goalsAssure business awards are per strategy and total value proposition considerationsProactively lead supplier performance management via metric setting and measurement, including risk mitigation planning for business continuity of key products or servicesLead negotiation strategies with cross-functional business partners to establish effective contracts with providersSupport and / or lead related cross-functional activities to support business objectivesComplete timely and effectively on special projects and ad-hoc management requestsAssure effective presence, compliance and auditing of department standard workBuild winning teams through coaching, training and career developmentOur Benefits :
