Intern, Brand Development (Summer 2024)

Summary

Daymon is hiring for our 2024 Summer Internship Program. This individual will be with us for 8-12 weeks. Relocation assistance is provided to those who are not local to the area. Internships provide students with challenging, relevant work experience in their field of interest as well as introduce them to additional career opportunities. Internships may lead to future opportunities within the Company, although there are no guarantees for full-time employment. Internships are offered in the following areas: Sales & Marketing, Brand Strategy, Supply Chain, Analytics, and Retail.

Internship Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Applicants must be attending any accredited, two or four-year degree-granting institution or an accredited Graduate Master’s or MBA program, in the United States
• Applicants must be of junior or senior status or have graduated during the previous year
• Applicants must be working towards a Business or Business related major. Some applicable majors are:MarketingBusiness AdministrationFood ScienceFood MarketingAgricultureRetail Studies

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading or assisting in the completion of business unit projects as assigned
• Assist the business unit team with day-to-day work that covers activities across the division
• Assist in developing new systems, reports, and analytics to support business unit needs
• Audit/review documents submitted for completeness and accuracy
• Work with others in the business unit group on initiatives aimed at process improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned

The salary range for this role is $20.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Intern provides day-to-day and project support across multiple groups or business units as required by business needs

• Applicants must be senior status or have graduated during the previous year
• Applicants need to have a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Applicants will be required to submit at least two personal letters of recommendation
• Applicants must be working towards a Business or Business related major. Some applicable majors are:
• Marketing
• Business Administration
• Accounting / Finance
• Leadership and Organizational Development
• Human Resources Studies
• Business Management
• Business Information Systems
• Economics
• Political Science

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: coursework emphasis in applicable major

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
