About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (06 : 30 - 19 : 00; 11 : 00 - 23 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required; experience in circulating and Level 1 trauma necessary; completion of 1 prior travel assignment preferred

License : DC RN Licensure required; pending DC license accepted if applied for

Certifications : BLS, ACLS required

Must-Have : Experience circulating and in Level 1 trauma; ACLS certification; BLS certification; 2 years of nursing experience

Description :

This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).

The position requires a Day 3x12-hour shift with varying start times.

The nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care during cardiac surgeries.

On-call requirements include 6 calls per 6-week schedule.

Weekend or holiday coverage will be required once per 6-week schedule.

If there are no heart surgeries, the nurse may float to general surgery.

Candidates must have experience with a variety of surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, and LVAD placements.

The ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams is essential.

All employees are required to have the Flu vaccine, with no exemptions.

References from two supervisors will be required prior to employment.

This position requires strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
