Senior Postgres Engineer

A company is looking for a Postgres Engineer to maintain and expand the stability and functionality of their hosted Postgres offering.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance the stability and functionality of the hosted Postgres offering

Diagnose issues with custom extensions and resolve performance problems

Build testing and manage idempotent deployment across numerous Postgres instances

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL security, encryption, RLS, and permissions

Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals and experience in building extensions in C and Rust

Familiarity with PostgreSQL's background worker framework and shared memory management

Experience troubleshooting managed PostgreSQL deployments and analyzing core dumps

Ability to navigate complex extension ecosystems and understand compatibility and upgrade paths
