As a Mechanical Automation Project Engineer, you will lead the design, integration, and delivery of advanced industrial automation and robotics systems. This role involves hands-on mechanical design, project leadership, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to develop high-performance, automated manufacturing solutions. You will serve as the bridge between concept and commissioning, working with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Qualifications and Skills :

• BS / MS degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics focus preferred)
• 6+ years in Mechanical Design & Sales support roles within industrial automation, including at least 3 years designing custom machinery at a Robotic Systems Integrator
• Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD and SolidWorks PDM
• Experience in sizing actuators, servos, sensors, and pneumatics
• Knowledge of machining and fabrication processes
• Experience applying GD&T principles
• Effective communication with vendors / suppliers for machined parts
• Proficiency in prototyping, 3D printing, testing, and debugging
• Experience with FAT, equipment installation, and SAT at customer sites
• Robotic automation cell design skills, including reach / cycle analysis, safety, and risk assessment
• Design experience in robotic applications such as assembly, material handling, and palletizing
