Overview
Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic I - Nights at Otsuka ICU Medical LLC. Position requires a moderate understanding of general maintenance tasks and the ability to work under the direction of senior personnel. Responsible for maintaining and servicing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. When required, perform skilled repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment. Conduct periodic inspections, identify parts for replacement, and place orders as necessary. All work performed in accordance with established safety procedures. High school diploma or equivalent required. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to production equipment in line with cGMP requirements. Respond promptly to maintenance calls, troubleshoot systems, maintain detailed maintenance records and parts inventory using the company CMMS. Strive to continually improve maintenance skills to keep pace with technology and automation in production processes.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs or modifications to production equipment using skills in reading pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics; use basic electronic test equipment (volt / ohm and amp meters); pneumatics and electrical controls, pipefitting, welding, and mechanics.
- Assist with installation checkout and start-up of new or modified plant production equipment.
- Order maintenance parts and track / return repair parts.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor or Manager with facts and details for formal investigations.
- Upload and download PLC programs.
- Record downtime on the appropriate form for reporting to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Train other mechanics as requested (Qualified Fellow Employee, QFE).
- Maintain plant tools and toolboxes in accordance with SOPs.
- Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and plant policies / rules.
- Identify problem trends and communicate problems and proposed resolutions clearly in verbal and written form.
Knowledge & Skills
Troubleshooting aptitude; able to communicate system knowledge to other mechanics.Ability to work under close direction of senior personnel.Proficient with tools such as voltmeters, amp meters, VPU's, microprocessors, hand tools, welders, sheet metal equipment, calipers, and micrometers.Strong communication with customers and peers to understand situations and resolve issues.Proficiency with computer software including word processing, CMMS, and e-mail.Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and industry standard symbols.Basic understanding of PLCs and VFDs operation and setup.Proficiency with Outlook.Willingness to work overtime and be on-call to minimize downtime; provide current contact number.May be required to become a Qualified Fellow Employee (QFE) and forklift operator.Perform other duties as assigned.Core Competency Functions

Must be at least 18 years of age.High School diploma required; associate degree or certification preferred.0-2 years of experience; industrial mechanical / electrical experience strongly preferred.About Us
