About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join an established healthcare and legal organization. In this role, you’ll be responsible for defending physicians and medical professionals in medical malpractice and related litigation matters. You’ll manage cases from start to finish — from investigation and discovery to trial or arbitration — while working closely with internal teams and claims specialists.
This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys hands-on litigation and wants to work in a dynamic environment that bridges healthcare and law.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of assigned litigation cases, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.Partner with trial attorneys and claims specialists to develop and execute defense strategies.Draft and respond to legal documents such as motions, discovery requests, and court filings.Attend court appearances, depositions, and arbitration hearings.Provide timely updates and reports throughout each stage of litigation.Ensure compliance with defense attorney guidelines and cost-effective case management.Represent physicians during depositions in “depo-only” cases.Collaborate and share insights with peers to strengthen overall team effectiveness.Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.Active license to practice law in California.Minimum of 3 years of medical malpractice litigation experience.Strong understanding of medical and legal issues related to healthcare defense.Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Why This Opportunity
