ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for determining short and long-range objectives, ensuring assigned projects or deadlines are accomplished, and working with the Plant Manager in meeting plant goals and objectives. Management activities include the implementation of plant policies and procedures, enforcement of company policies and procedures, coordination of daily work units, budgets, producing quality product and coaching, development and discipline of team members. Support and maintain the plant safety program through day-to-day safety contacts with employees and department safety meetings, ensure assigned work areas are safe and safety requirements are observed.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
• Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Responsible for supervising safe and efficient operation and performance of crew and for ensuring that the equipment is kept neat and in good working order. Review operational control policies and procedures, update to current standard and communicate with affected departments and employees.
• Ensure consistent and efficient operation among production supervisors and shift supervisors, including coaching and training.
• Manage equipment failure and process upset conditions to minimize cost and downtime.
• Ensure that Company policies and protocols are followed; report all violations of policies, or violations. Manages labor, reporting anticipated shortages; directs teams in daily operations, providing training.
• Conduct monthly drills and safety meetings in accordance with company policy; conduct quarterly spill drills.
• Maintain environmental compliance at all times, taking action as necessary to operate within facility permitted limits.
• Work in conjunction with Quarry Manager to track performance against established objectives and take immediate corrective action to ensure goals are realized.

Education : High school diploma or Bachelor's degree

Field of Study Preferred

Business, Geology, Construction Management / Technology

Required Work Experience : AutoCAD, Google Workspace / Microsoft Office
