Position responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in providing leadership to the department overseeing the daily operations managing and developing departmental staff, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process, ensuring the delivery of quality care to patients. Position responsible for 24 / 7 (as appropriate) support of the department / unit. Typically reports to a Manager, Nursing or Director, Nursing. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles. Specific age groups that are served by this position are circled. Neonate Infant Pediatric Adolescent Adult Adult / Geriatric Memorial Hermann Cypress is a 27 bed ED with expansion plans of growing to 40 beds including 8 pedi beds by 2028, level III trauma designation, Chest Pain Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is Magnet with Distinction (first hospital in TX). The ED was the 2024 Lantern Award and sees an average of 120 patients daily. This is a NEW opportunity with MH Cypress ER!

• Monday thru Friday, 3-11pm with manager call
• Bachelor's degree required
• CEN or manager certification required within 1 year of eligibility
• 3+ years of ER RN experience required
• Preference given to candidates with experience working with trauma patients at a trauma designated ER
• Will assist ED leadership with overseeing approximately 100 FTEs in the ED and Screener Float Pool (CVMPs)

Education : Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Nursing. If Bachelor's is not in Nursing, a Master's degree in Nursing is required.
