Duties & Responsibilities of an EMT : Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) in compliance with city, state, and organizational proceduresBe helpful, friendly, and professional throughout all interactions with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the publicMust be able to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs or moreMaintain a clean and fully stocked ambulance per NYS DOH requirements, restocking supplies at the end of each shiftEmployment is contingent upon a background check and pre-employment drug testNotice : EMS agencies in NYS are required by law (Executive Law Section 837-s) to check applicants (who may be involved in the care or transportation of patients) personally identifying information against the Sex Offender Registry and make a determination of eligibility to become a member / employee pursuant to Correction Law Article 23-AMidwood EMS is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
