Must-Have :

Candidates must have experience in an emergency department setting.

Candidates must be open to floating when necessary.

Candidates must have experience with EPIC charting system.

Description :

The position is for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse.

The candidate will work in a setting caring for neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

The daily census averages 64 patients with approximately 145 visits per day.

The unit has a mix of combined adult and pediatric emergency cases.

Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 5 patients.

The nurse will be responsible for managing dysrhythmias and patients with multisystem organ dysfunction.

Skills required include blood product administration, central line care, starting IVs, and managing emergency medications.

The nurse will also perform procedural sedation administration and monitoring.

Isolation precautions must be adhered to at all times.

The candidate should possess strong phlebotomy skills and be proficient in obtaining 12 lead EKGs.

Applicants will be required to work every other weekend.

Candidates must have a flexible schedule with minimal restrictions on requested time off.

Experience in emergency department settings dealing with a variety of patient diagnoses is essential.

The role requires effective collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams.
