POSITION SUMMARY :
The Sales Development Rep will contribute to the company sales objectives by increasing sales for Turf Distributors in our Business to Business / Retail channel. This Sales Rep is expected to increase volume and acquire new customers by prospecting, networking, and engaging new opportunities. This individual will be adept at managing single and multiple location partners in the Florida market while maintaining a consistent pipeline of new business. The Sales Rep must have a strong business acumen with a willingness to think outside the box to identify solutions.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Consults with customers to understand their needsDemonstrates and explains products, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needsAnswers customer’s questions about our product and installationMeet sales goals and objectives as assigned by the Director of SalesDevelop and execute daily action planFollow up on sales activity to ensure customer satisfaction and client relationship developmentMaintain knowledge about all current products and services. Research local competitor’s products and cost pointsTrack and maintain all leads and accounts in CRM staying current on statusFollow up on leads, contacts, referrals and established accounts with frequencyPerform outgoing lead generation calls on a regular basis and track through CRMParticipate in marketing events i.e. trade shows, fairs and in-store eventsMaintain all in store displays, literature and samplesIdentify and acquire new business through networking, social media and cold callingAct as a liaison between sales, marketing and logisticsProvide creative solutions for business growth and opportunityAbility to receive and accept coaching and developmentREQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES :
Excellent verbal communication skillsExcellent active listening skillsExcellent sales and customer service skillsAbility to anticipate customers’ needs.Ability to recommend merchandise to customersProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Familiarity of CRM softwareKnowledge of successful lead generation (cold calling, social media, etc)Proven track record of providing first-rate customer service, focusing on the customer experienceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years’ experience in salesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business preferredPrior experience with Artificial Turf, Landscape, or flooring salesFluent in both English and Spanish preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Prolonged periods of standing and walkingClassified as an Outside Sale Representative, must be able to drive to service customers within designated area (spend approximately 60% of the workday in the field)Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at timesMust be able to maneuver, transport, set up and take down, and maintain metal displays for customer sites (approximately 20lbs)COMPENSATION :
