Position Summary :
The EHS / Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs on the 2nd shift to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role oversees workplace safety initiatives, conducts inspections and audits, provides training to employees, and promotes a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments on 2nd shift operations.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
Provide safety training, guidance, and coaching to employees and management in both English and French.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
Collaborate with operations and management to identify hazards and implement solutions.
Lead safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in EHS, safety management, or industrial safety.
Fluency in English and French would be a plus!
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to conduct training and influence behavior at all organizational levels.
Professional certifications (CSP, CHST, or equivalent) preferred.
Working Conditions :
Industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, chemicals, or other hazards.
Requires walking, standing, and occasional physical inspections.
2nd shift hours; occasional travel may be required between facilities.
