Overview
Job Purpose
The plant Quality Manager develops and maintains a strong culture of quality and food safety plant-wide. They develop and execute quality and food safety strategic initiatives for the entire manufacturing site to drive continuous improvement while delivering against internal quality measures (KPIs), external regulatory standards, and 3rd party customer requirements.

Responsibilities
- Leads a large team of Quality professionals including Laboratory, Quality Compliance, Sanitation, Department Quality Supervisors, Quality Engineers, and other supporting staff.
- Collaborates with the corporate quality team and support functions to deliver quality excellence programs, driving performance in consumer complaint reduction, hold reduction, sanitation execution, and regulatory compliance.
- Utilizes industry and Kraft Heinz quality tools (RCFA, SPC, Green Belt, etc.) to improve quality and product superiority.
- Leads and implements quality and food safety KPIs to measure performance of team members, aligning with factory and business priorities.
- Drives team member engagement through leadership, career development, and conflict management.
- Builds cross-functional partnerships with plant leadership to drive quality programs with shared goals.
- Partners with corporate to drive automation and digital solutions including KHMS, Lighthouse, and future initiatives.
- Evaluates performance and competencies of plant QA staff, providing leadership training, coaching, and accountability.
- Develops work instructions and training to standardize quality processes.
- Manages the plant's Corrective Action and Preventive Action program to drive continuous improvement.
- Supports R&D plant trials and end-to-end commercialization of brand maintenance and innovation projects.
- Maintains plant GMPs, HACCP, and prerequisite programs; serves as liaison with external regulatory agencies (FDA, CFIA) during visits.
- Provides direction and subject matter expertise on plant quality activities and inquiries.
- Prepares for and leads internal and external quality audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are timely.
- Monitors quality systems, tools, and data sources to proactively address risks.
- Oversees record keeping for mandated quality checks, testing, sampling and sanitation activities.
- Tracks and analyzes RCFA initiatives for quality-related consumer complaints.
- Prepares and maintains relevant FSQ permitting and licensing for the plant.
- Manages departmental budgeting, purchasing and inventory of plant quality supplies.
- Serves as the plant lead for company quality and manufacturing initiatives including KHMS implementation.
- Develops strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Communicates effectively across factory and corporate leadership.
Qualifications
Quality manager experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple salaried and hourly employees.Food and beverage manufacturing experience required.Strong knowledge of GFSI (FSSC 22000) requirements; previous audit facilitator experience preferred.Ability to drive continuous improvement, with a results-driven mindset and targets.Understanding of SPC, HACCP, sanitation, analytical / microbiology testing principles, and hygienic design.Project management skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.Develop and promote a quality-focused culture aligned with Kraft Heinz strategic goals.Meat manufacturing experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology or related field preferred.ERP / Quality system experience, SAP and Infinity preferred.Work Environment & Schedule
This position is a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Availability to support a 24-hour / 7-day week operation for critical issues if needed.

Compensation & Benefits
New Hire Base Salary Range : $118,400.00 - $148,000.00
Bonus : This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
