Job descriptionIdentify and diagnose turf and ornamental issues and provide effective treatment Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides to lawns, shrubs, and plant material in accordance with industry practices and regulatory requirements Prepare and mix products according to label instructions and use them safely Ensure the safe and proper operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment and adhere to safety standards Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and equipment Keep accurate records of products used and complete all required work order correspondence Retain customers through effective communication and meeting expectations Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to perform IPM duties Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Spray Technician to perform pest control, fertilization, and spray applications on our commercial landscape properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture and agricultural fields with a background in turf and ornamental issues.
Key Qualifications :
- Certified Pesticide Applicator
- Knowledge of Best Management Practices (BMP) Certificate preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of pesticide, herbicide, and fertilizer products and calibration
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, and the public
- Experience with operating a Z sprayer
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, and twist frequently throughout the day, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and use hand tools and power equipment
