Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Site / Civil Practice Leader to join its collaborative team in Los Angeles, California. This individual will serve a key function in leading and supporting design, permitting and client management / development efforts for a variety of land development projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow the Los Angeles office and contribute directly to the overall growth of the Site / Civil discipline.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for both public and private client;
• Work closely with firm leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization;
• Lead staffing and hiring initiatives for the Los Angeles office;
• Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;
• Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments. Coach, train, and motivate Site / Civil staff;
• Lead site / civil efforts on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completion;
• Lead storm water management design, hydrologic / hydraulic analysis and design and SWPPP preparation;
• Demonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering; and
• Performs other duties as requested.

Certain US jurisdictions require Langan to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is : $112,500 - $171,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education / training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
