Multinational Operations Coordinator

Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Multinational Operations Coordinator in our Global Multinational Operations team.

This role is critical in supporting the Global Multinational Operations team in delivering a consistent process model and operational excellence across our Regions. Reporting to the VP, Multinational Global Chief Operating Officer, this global focused role will be involved in a wide range of strategic projects and initiatives including the ongoing development and maintenance of our Multinational Platform, SMP.

Location : This position will be a remote position, recognizing our Charlotte, NC office as closest office for required meetings and employee events. We strive for collaboration which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long lasting careers.

What you'll be doing :

  • Support the VP, Multinational Global Chief Operating Officer in executing strategies and decisions that align with the multinational business unit's global objectives through robust operational processes and controls.
  • Ownership of the Multinational Platform's Administration function, supporting the wider Multinational Operations team in maintaining up to date and accurate country capabilities, user access, product templates etc. within the SMP.
  • Support countries in adopting the Multinational end-to-end process, including implementation of the Multinational Platform.
  • Provide operational support, where necessary, to the Regional Multinational teams, specifically in the build and execution of Programs and local Policies in the Multinational Platform.
  • Be an integral member of the user acceptance testing (UAT) group, working closely with the Multinational and IT project teams in effectively delivering enhancement releases for the SMP.
  • Together with the Multinational Operations Project Support Manager and AVP, Multinational Finance & Technology, develop training and guidance materials for users, related to SMP operational and enhancement changes.
  • Assist with cross-functional department relationships : Finance, Reinsurance, and Operations (including IT) to support the Multinational team's business needs. Interact with other departments as needed to handle business needs (product development, legal or others).
  • Other similar assigned duties which are required in support of company and department objectives.

What you'll bring :

  • 5+ years in a commercial insurance underwriting or operations position. Multinational experience is a plus.
  • Experience participating in IT related projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, together with the ability to be flexible to meet business needs.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering actionable solutions to support strategic goals.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
