Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations.

• Before operating, make sure the motor is equipped with bar, jack, sand, two rerailers, fire extinguisher, and communications. Visual inspection for physical damage to electrical wires and couplers, also check braking system and gauges to assure proper operation.
• Transport loaded supply cars, coal cars or track duster from the loading point to the dumping point.
• Transport empty supply cars, coal cars or track duster from the dumping point to the loading point.
• Maintain adequate communications between the operator and dispatcher.
• Be alert to physical conditions in the environment such as track conditions, roof and rib.
• Required to handle and transport supplies, gravel cars and rockdusters
• May be required to load and unload supplies Supplyman Motorman only

Other Duties / Responsibilities :

Education, Qualifications and Training :

Underground coal miner's certificate

Annual 8 hour retraining

On-the-job experience

Vocational training (optional)

Other qualifications as required by contract, regulations, and / or management
