Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - 8 Hour Day Shift (Weekend Priority)

Join our dedicated healthcare community at Lutheran Home as a full-time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) , where you'll provide compassionate, hands-on care to our residents during our 8-hour day shift with Weekend Priority . Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

• Assist with daily personal care functions.
• Assist with the feeding of residents.
• Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale.
• Assist in turning and positioning of residents.
• Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen).
• Help keep residents’ rooms clean and supplied.
• Make / change beds (unoccupied and occupied).
• Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
• Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
• Answer residents’ calls and take appropriate action.
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and / or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse.
• Communicate residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.

In this full-time role, you’ll work 4 eight-hour day shifts per week including every weekend.
