The Position

Wilson Elser's Intellectual Property and Technology Team seeks an Attorney with a strong litigation background to join a fast-paced and dynamic national team focused on Intellectual Property and Technology transactional law and litigation; privacy, AI and data governance; internet law; advertising law and other related industry-specific areas to take the next step in their career by becoming part of a national law firm with a wide range of resources and opportunities. The opportunity is available at Wilson Elser's East Meadow, New York or White Plains, New York offices; alternative locations with Wilson Elser's other offices may be acceptable.

Key Responsibilities :

• Day-to-day management a litigation caseload and counsel clients in the areas of IP, data privacy technology and AI governance / compliance.
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects.
• Act as part of a team that prosecutes and defends lawsuits involving copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and trade libel, data privacy (including online tracking technologies), rights of privacy / rights of publicity;
• Advise clients on data privacy compliance, AI governance, and data governance matters, including preparation and review or privacy notices, internal privacy and security policies, procedures and controls, third party risk management, risk assessments, and internal training for clients on these matters
• Advise clients on a wide range of transactional matters including purchase and sale agreements for creative assets, collaboration agreements, software development agreements, licensing agreements, etc.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

Qualifications

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and / or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Salary Range : $170,000—$200,000 USD
