Job Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver high-quality patient care through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. This involves direct involvement in patient visits, education, and follow-up. Key responsibilities include providing patient education, conducting follow-up phone calls, and assisting providers during patient appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient / family education, and transitions of care.
- Support professional nursing practice across various settings and the continuum of care to meet patient needs.
- Function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).Current RN license by applicable state requirements; Arizona and Florida require Basic Life Support (BLS) competency, while Midwest requires current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from programs like American Heart Association or American Red Cross.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); experience working in a team environment; proficiency in computer systems, especially electronic medical records.Demonstrated leadership qualities, critical thinking skills, and effective communication abilities.Benefits

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship, and employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of their responsibilities. The work environment is dynamic and unpredictable, requiring adaptability and strong leadership qualities.
The job schedule consists of 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with varied start times. Employees are expected to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends, as well as be on-call.
