Travel Medical ICU Registered Nurse - $1,840 per week

A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work in a 31-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Patient ratios typically 2 : 1, sometimes 1 : 1 or 3 : 1 depending on acuity and staffing
• Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Schedules created in 4-week increments with self-scheduling to an extent
• Manager may move shifts to balance schedule
• Subject to floating policy - contract labor floats first, expected to float to med / surg when needed
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Required to wear navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
• Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as tech
• Assist with procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions
• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS
• ICU experience required
