Director Of Human Resources Therapy Division
CommuniCare Health Services is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director Of Human Resources to lead HR operations for our Therapy Division, which supports more than 100 long-term care facilities across six states. This is a key leadership position responsible for strategic and operational HR oversight, partnering closely with therapy leadership, facility teams, and our corporate office to ensure a high-performing, engaged, and compliant workforce.
The Director of HR will play a vital role in shaping and implementing HR strategy across the division, with a strong emphasis on labor management, turnover and retention initiatives, employee relations and HRIS utilization. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic direction with hands-on HR support to internal employees and external therapy professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the HR strategic partner to the CEO / COO of Therapy, providing guidance on people strategies, workforce planning, and organizational design.
- Oversee HR operations for the Therapy Division across 100+ long-term care facilities in six states.
- Lead initiatives to reduce turnover, improve engagement, and promote a positive and inclusive culture.
- Provide leadership and coaching to HR and therapy management teams on performance management, employee relations, and compliance matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining a strong focus on risk mitigation.
- Oversee and optimize HRIS and workforce management systems (Workday experience strongly preferred).
- Partner with payroll, benefits, and finance teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in HR processes.
- Support workforce planning, compensation analysis, and labor cost management efforts.
- Act as a trusted advisor and resource for both internal employees and external therapy contractors, ensuring timely and effective HR support.
- Participate in and lead division-wide initiatives focused on leadership development, training, and employee experience.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SCP certification strongly preferred.Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in healthcare, long-term care, or multi-state operations.Strong knowledge of employment law, labor management, and HR best practices.Demonstrated experience in employee relations, turnover reduction and HRIS management.Proven ability to influence, partner, and build strong relationships across diverse teams and leadership levels.Proficiency in HR systems and technology; Workday experience highly desirable.Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Why Join Us
