OverviewM Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Tamarack Clinic. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Tamarack Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic.

Our clinic hours are 7AM to 6PM Monday - Thursday and 7AM - 5PM on Fridays, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance!This position is eligible for a $4000 Sign On Bonus!This is a 1.

0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period) opening.The tentative schedule for this opening is : Four ten (10) hour day shifts with one late day (8am-6 : 30PM) on Tuesday or Thursday.

()Responsibilities Job DescriptionAs a member of the patient care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients / families.

The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. MA's are responsible for adhering to policies, procedures and practice guidelines;

promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician / authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members.

You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include : medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab drawsWe find that those who excel in this role are also able to : Easily communicates compliance and concerns to others involved with patient carePartner with patient and / or care-giver in care / decision makingEngage in change to improve the work environment and patient experienceRecognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differencesTakes action to assure continuity of care for all assigned patientQualificationsRequired QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN is required.

Basic Life Support Certification is required.Preferred QualificationsAmbulatory Care Experience is preferred.AAMA Certification is preferred.
