The Thermal Systems team is seeking an individual to become a member of the Air Handling Subsystem (AHSS) team. This role will be responsible for the CAE / CFD analysis of the components of the AHSS during the product development process, optimizing the system responsible for delivering interior airflow to the customers of Ford Motor Company. These components include vehicle ductwork, registers, cowl intake, extraction path and HVAC unit. The AHSS development process includes running various CAE / CFD and bench testing, interpreting data and communicating it across a broad range of functional teams, such as the Design Studio, Body Interior & Exterior, Thermal Systems, Program Teams and Vehicle Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Apply thermal / fluid modeling methodologies and analysis techniques to drive the design and development of the Air-Handling Subsystem on Ford's future ICE, hybrid and electrified powertrains.
• You will work on CAE / CFD analyses of AHSS components during product development and communicate results to cross-functional teams.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
